Newsweek includes cover story about Bible supporting gay marriage

The cover story of this week's Newsweek is basically how the Bible seems to support gay marriage. I can't say I'm very interested in what the Bible says on anything, but still interesting to see this as the cover story of a major publication:

Oh, and do yourself a favor, DON'T click through to read the comments on the article. :-)

I knew they'd be in there. Always are. Have you read any John Boswell?

Nope...

Not really a topic that interests me, personally.

Hmmm

I thought it was a very good article. The thing is, I don't know the bible well enough to feel like I can participate in debates like these. It would almost be worth reading it cover to cover to feel like I could have an intelligent conversation... but realistically, when will I have the time for that?

Same-sex sexual desire and relationshiops are clearly not condoned in the Bible. This article is a very liberal and biased interpretation, almost turning a blind eye to what is actually written in scripture. The conclusion that the Bible does not condemn same sex marriage is quite a forced twist. Another classic attempt by mainstream media to influence society and spiritual philosophy.

Ok, and his comment was definitely not a biased interpretation, nor turning a blind eye to what's written in the bible, etc... I just adore people's comments.

well thanks Jeff. I for one

well thanks Jeff. I for one am a xhristian, and II like to see these things.

As I entered the room, I found myself filled with regret. Why am I doing this? All I know is: God can only tell me what I am searching for. I kneel and pray. Truth floods into me. I feel lonely.
