Are you kidding? You can

Are you kidding? You can change, like, two words in "What is this feeling?", and it's a love song. That can't have been an accident.

alright. alright. I got tired of hearing amazing things about wicked..so I'm watching it on google videos, lame, but it's not like I can go to a theater and see it performed anytime soon. so far it's pretty cool.

hmm, interesting idea...

I think "What is this feeling?" is supposed to be almost a parody of love songs, so that may not mean much.

I haven't actually seen the show (sad face), but I have the soundtrack and I've read the book. There's a line in the last section of the book that suggests Glinda might have had feelings for Elphaba at some point.

In the musical it is at least clear that Glinda and Elphaba have a very close friendship... although there's also (POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT!) the love-triangle-with-Fiyero bit.

I think there could potentially be a lesbian love story in Wicked, but it's never expressly spelled out, so... very difficult to say for sure.
