I think this girl at my school has a crush on me. I don't know how to respond to this, because I don't EVER want to cause her any pain, she's very kind. But, I promised myself I would never date someone that I don't have feelings for, because that REALLY hurts. So does anyone have an idea on how to tell her, gently, that I don't feel the same way she does if she asks me out? She hasn't yet, but... Yeah. Help please.

Ummmm... I dunno.

If she asks you out, or says something, just let her down as lightly as possible. Like you could tell her that you're flattered, and that you're sorry but you just don't feel the same way... She'll probably still be upset, but it's better than you dating her and then having to tell her that you don't feel it.

If you can't tell her you don't like girls, then I second what Riku said. Tell the truth, as gently as possible. It's always better to tell the truth in this kind of situation, even when it hurts. To get into a web of making up excuses would just lead to more hurt.
