Oh yes. If I say that a guy is gay, then he's straight. If I say a guy's straight, he's definitely straight. If I can't make my mind up, he's straight. If I don't see/notice the guy, then he's gay :)

Gaydar improves over time, and works best with people who are within one's own generation. At least, that's my experience.
Having said that, though, it is more difficult now than it once was. As gay people become more mainstream, everyone becomes less sensitive to that whole "I belong to the same secret club" vibe. Also, the next generation hasn't got the same preconceived notions about what it means to be a gay person, so they are less inclined to exhibit any of the stereotypical behaviors that once made it so easy for gay people to spot one another.
Still, it's there, and it's all in the eyes. When someone makes extended eye contact, it often means that they're either sending a Q vibe, trying to read your Q vibe...or both. How people's eyes behave when looking at others can also speak volumes. This is still much more true for men, though. Because women don't have the same taboo about checking one another out, it's harder to tell with them, but when one man's eyes linger on another man, you can usually be pretty sure he's thinking about something other than baseball (unless of course it's A-Rod).

My gaydar is pretty good actually. But it's mostly subconscious. I just get "vibes" off of people. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where I pick them up from though. And it only works on other people in my age group. Any older than say, 18, and pfft. Gone. And people under my age group, well most of them don't know their own sexuality. XD

My gaydar is nonexistent. Or
My gaydar is nonexistent. Or pretty darn close. I guess I haven't had time to develop it yet.
I notice no one claims not to believe in gaydar thus far... :-)
