so, google customizes your searches based on previous entries and web search history....

i'm not exactly sure what that means, i just know that i kinda weirds me out a little bit...

google is out to control your liiiiiiiiiiife!

in other news, milano cookies are good, and i'm going shopping for clothes tomorrow...

this is going to be interesting.

gender has become such a fluid concept to me. i keep considering the prospect of being trans, but i keep rejecting it. i'm such a waffle person that to have such a concrete label stamped on me would be completely constricting. for now, i'm just okay with people me.

Err...

Trans is a concrete label?

I think of it as an umbrella term for a huge number of options. Gay, lesbian, bi, and straight are the rigid ones.

in my strange little world,

in my strange little world, trans feels like a concrete label in terms of 'i feel like (insert gender here) but i'm physically (insert gender here)'. but that might just be me...

You know, I was doing that

You know, I was doing that for a while. Then I got frustrated and stopped.

But trans isn't a constricting label at all. At least not around here. (These terms can be regional.) Maybe the term genderqueer is more your pace? That is, if you're looking to label yourself. It just means gender-non-conforming or gender-variant.

Hmm...

Yeah, should probably check Wiki to see how many things falls under trans...

genderqueer is within the transgender umbrella, so again, if you don't want to be too concrete, it seems like you should go with trans, rather than go specific within trans, no?

Of course, first and foremost, why have a label at all?

Wiki isn't the end-all and

Wiki isn't the end-all and be-all of language. Especially since a lot of these terms are rather new, the terminology can change from region to region, and person to person, in what it means to people.

And if a label makes people feel more comfortable with themselves then whatever.
