You'd be surprised at how oblivious people are. Some people will pick up on it, but most will be like "whatever" unless they didn't know you previously.
It helps to just slip it into conversation casually. Like, don't make a big deal about it, because then they'll make a big deal about it. But if you act like it's just another thing. So will they (most likely.)
You could get a button that says "nobody knows I'm gay". That's how I came out at school. Because I got tired of finding places during conversations for telling people.

No, but seriously. Facebook, find places to mention it, wear a pride ribbon or some other gay parephanalia. Mostly, don't stress about every single person within 3 miles of you knowing you're [insert sexuality here], because then your coming-outs get weird and forced and you start beating people over the head with your gayness. Don't think about coming, just think about being out. (See, I focused on coming out and I was forever branded the obnoxious, loud lesbian. Not a good route.)

The lesbian detector comment reminded me of this, but....
Yeah, apparently I came out to my mother as a transman...0.o? So...make sure you're at least a little bit clear when you tell people--I think she's still a little confused and it's been a few years.
Good luck!
I agree with Riku, if you just work it into conversations and don't be overt about it, then people will slowly began to accept it. Like my senor year, I just started to comment on which girls I thought were cute, and things like that. I would do it casually, then everyone would begin to catch on.

Err...
Easy these days. Go on facebook, and make the following updates to your profile/status:
"Jeff just changed his status to single."
"Jeff is interested in men."
News feed:
"Jeff is gay. Like, for reals."
Done.
