So I'm sitting in the college library...and it"s not so much that i hate college...but I think I might just be bored...maybe it's the time of year or that i would rather be anywhere doing anything else.
Changes in the season are attributed to many psychological and somatic problems. Atmospheric pressure fluctuates greatly during this time and this can upset sinus conditions and may cause headaches and migraines. Winter is also attributed to Vitamin D deficiencies, which can cause minor, but not clinical depression.
I had a really rough first month because I got so homesick (all my old friends are now six hours away), but it's getting better now. I don't have advice or anything, but the whole year won't necessarily be less-than-great. :-)
Of course if you get really depressed and/or hating college/life, you should probably find someone to talk to. If you're just bored or adjusting, I'd guess it will pass.
Not that I can speak from vast experience, as this is approximately my sixth week in college...

Yes.
I hate it immensely right now (well, less than I did yesterday morning). It's midterms time. College is bad bad bad!!!
If you're bored I highly recommend getting off campus if at all possible for a change of pace, go wander the town, see a movie, buy yourself a cup of coffee or meet up with some people.
I spent this past weekend hanging out with a friend who lives off campus and then in San Francisco before buckling down to study for exams, and I think that helped a lot. With me it's usually just a matter of needing to see people other than my Mills ladies and professors. But my school is small.
