AP classes are Advanced
AP classes are Advanced Placement classes, in my school you normally need to take some kind of test to get into one...
But I want to hear the story behind why they're so ridiculous.

College credit
College credit, if you do well. "The gift of knowledge." All that good stuff.
That being said, they are also utterly ridiculous.

Haha, I like how everyone's complaining about AP Biology, because that's one of them that I'm in! I'm constantly working for that class. It's probably an 8 on the scale of ridiculousness. I'm also taking AP Statistics and AP English, which are mildly stressful, but a walk in the park compared to biology. I'm learning a hell of a lot, but really, it's kind of eating my life.

Just forget about AP Bio.
Just forget about AP Bio. You'll enslave yourself for a whole year, to take on of the hardest AP exams. Besides Psychology, Bio was the hardest AP Exam I took.. seriously, either you learn the textbook word by word, or you flunk the exam.
English is a great class, and the exam is a lot of fun (no, seriously, it's one of those exams that gets you thinking). Statistics is a nice little cute math class. Totally harmless and TI-dependent.

Too bad I'm completely fascinated by biology, possibly want to major in it, and all my friends rave about how much fun they had in it last year...as hard as it is, I'd rather be taking it than not taking it. Plus I'm a great test-taker!
