Save same sex marriage!
Hey,
The Governor of CA is taking a phone poll on just how many people are in support of the Supreme Courts decision on same sex marriage. Please call this number and enter your vote. You don't even have to talk to anyone.
And if it is busy, just call right back. It might take about 10 tries, but you will get through. This is really important because right now they think there are more people opposed to this, and I KNOW there are more fair-minded people out there than that! They are just too quiet. So call, then send this to EVERYONE YOU KNOW! Straight, queer, living in CA and not. Anyone can call including people outside of CA! So call now!

...just from a reread of the original post, anyway. I have a sort of related question though. I think my cell has free long distance, but does it cost anything to call besides that?

It shouldn't cost anything to call. And yes, even people who don't live in CA can call.
I was also shown how you can vote online as well. If you go to http://www.gov.ca.gov/interact, you can use the drop down list to find "supreme court decision on gay marriage" and it will move you through to vote yes you do support it and then you can leave a short note if you want.
