I personally don't have anything against emo music it's just not my thing. But I don't think I'd classify Panic! (yes I'm defying the change) as an emo band. I'd say they file more under alternative pop rock.

A funny side note: I got the game Rock Band awhile back and the game has an option to sort out music by genre. Well they have a section for "Emo" but theres only one song under it which is Fall out boy's song "Dead on arrival" so I don't know what that say's about emo as a genre of music, I just found it funny.

Still didn't score a good balcony seat for the show yet. Damn, looks like I might have to stand the whole night on the floor. Four bands is just too much standing around... especially in a crowd filled with predominately girls and jailbait.

Last chance for a good balcony seat is tomorrow, so I can sit upstairs with the old folks (and scalp my floor seat to someone younger with disposable income)

Probably bisexual, not gay! From some of the eyeliner-filled photos they have though, I'd say their stylist/publicist has pushed them in that direction for attention.

Ryan Ross reminds me of Amanda Bynes in physical appearance and photo demeanor (except he tries to be UNhappy more often), but he doesn't blare gay to me, although I can see how he might lean that way! Looking at a photo like this: makes me stick to a bi label for him though.

I also don't find any of them that attractive, Brendon Urie certainly doesn't seem like anything special, and the picture above doesn't make Ryan shine either! Actually, THIS photo pretty much clarifies them all as not being anything looks special for me, looks aren't everything, but a lot more could be expressed by their faces/body language, so I find them more off-putting than anything really! And for individuals under the spotlight, I do think there needs to be a certain level of effort or even a certain level of intervention to ensure what are basically good looks! Drop-dead gorgeous isn't mandatory, and the band does have photoshoot shots that are alright, but I don't see as much effort as I'd expect. Or further to that, I might actually expect more effort of a band with gay members, not just in terms of attention to looks (yay for stereotypes), but in the entire product they present.

This one is a lot nicer to them (front boy has sex appeal applied), but I'm going "hmm!" as to why you find them attractive, if you do!

Anyway, their music is clearly doing well enough, I can't see them being on the far hunter-rifle side of a stereotypical straight man at all, but they really don't seem explicitly effeminate to me, aside from Ryan at times, and that seems to be more as a byproduct of his facial expressions/youth!

Ehh, not sure that they appear all that gay. I mean there's a whole change as far as fashion goes in the alternative scene, the whole colored eyeliner/ mascara thing or "racoon eyes" have just become commonplace. Bands like My Chemical Romance and AFI have been doing that bit for years and neither band is (at least openly) gay.

My verdict on this band is Straight until proven otherwise.
