Musical!
Um, wow. I'm in the ensemble for my school musical.
I got in! Omg!
Mystery of Edwin Drood. Strange show, but promises to be mucho fun. I can't say I'm not a little disappointed I didn't get a more standout role (like, any role), but there is less pressure this way, I admit. And I am in the musical, after all. It'll be nice to be in it just once.
It was a bit annoying to read the cast list this morning, just because we had our first two periods free and I spent those periods wandering around with two friends who had just gotten big parts (one of them, really close friend, got the lead, I'm so freaking proud of her!), and they were being all ecstatic and stuff, but at the same time complaining about their songs that had been cut, and I was just sort of sitting there, like, "Guys... ensemble... -.- "
But I FUCKING GOT INNNNNN!!! YESSSSS!!!!

and ur little wandering-the-halls-with-friends-bitching-about-their-roles story somehow reminds me of this scene in "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" (the 2nd-best Lindsay Lohan movie) where Lindsay (Lola) gets the lead role in the skewl-play and the bitchy mean girl (Carla) gets a supporting role, and Carla goes "Actually, my part, the one of Mrs. Higgins, is much more interesting than Eliza's in many ways. I mean, even though she's not the female lead, it's a part with depth and true contemporary resonance. It's the one that I wanted."
and Lola goes "Good, 'cause that's the one you got."
hehe, i LOVE that movie, shut the fuck up everybody! :-P
