Dumbledore is SO gay. No, seriously. Apparently, JK Rowling has outed him as gay, according to this article (WARNING, it contains some spoilers for the seventh book, but nothing especially major to the plot): http://www.the-leaky-cauldron.org/2007/10/20/j-k-rowling-at-carnegie-hal...
And here is an excerpt from the Dan Radcliffe article below:
Asked who would be his leading lady if he [Dan] played Bond he joked: "Rupert (Grint).
"I'm going to be the first gay James Bond and I want Rupert to be my first leading lady."
"I'm joking," he added.

This is AWESOME!! *cheers* Let's throw a fabulously gay Harry Potter party! We can all put on pink wizard hats and dance to wizard rock! Who's with me? :D
Oooh! Ooh!
*Throws back head and cackles*
I knew it!
I can so see Dumbledore in drag.
"Politely rude. Briskly vague. Firmly uninformative"
Woahhh! That is so wicked!
Woahhh! That is so wicked! :D I'm so happy! I knew it all along...I mean like that part where Dumbledore is all like "Come to my office and eleven tonight" to Snape. Wow. Well woohoo! I'm really glad that Rowling put a gay character in there, especially one of such importance.
Aaaaack!
I knew it I knew it I knew it!!! Woo hoo!!!
I'd always had a bit of a grudge against J K Rowling for not including any gay characters, and I kept hoping she'd out one of them...
* rockin' out to the Weird Sisters in my violently pink pointy hat *
*squees* I am so gleeful
*squees* I am so gleeful right now. This improves the 7th book for me by several hundred percentage points, I was so disappointed with it. Yeah, same here on the gay characters bit, it irked me a little bit that all of these terribly predictable straight things were a goings on, but I didn't blame Jo. I did entertain the idea of Dumbledore being a grand ol' 'mo but thought "Character depth in Harry Potter? Naahhhhh." Whooo! *nerds out*

Yes I was right and I must
Yes I was right and I must gloat about it to my sister!
Now, if only she'd said that Sirius was gay and Remus was bi, I'd love her forever.

YES!
I know, that would be so awesome! Are you a Sirius/Remus shipper too?

YESSSS. I'm not
YESSSS. I'm not alone!
It's...actually, almost sad. On FFN, the only stuff I read in the HP section is Sirius/Remus, Dean/Seamus, or Mary-Sue bashing. And it's mostly Sirius/Remus. I have a story open on another tab right now, I think. -checks- Yep, I do.

i knowww i just read it!!!
i knowww i just read it!!! wow didn't see it coming!
It was on the news. They
It was on the news. They went Iran, Lib Dems, dead schoolboy, rubgy fans, Dumbledore's gay.
But I knew that already.
I told my friends, I said Dumbledore's a massive gay. And they went ha, ha. And I said have you ever seen him with a girl? and what about Grindelwald? And they said he's a hundred years old of course he doesn't have a girlfriend. Now I can say ha ha ha. Because obviously stuff like this matters to me...
Small victories.
Hehe, my friends are such
Hehe, my friends are such blatant heteros it's almost disgusting. They'll probably freak the fuck out and go into denial whilst I prance around all gleeful-like.
Same! ...Actually, no. One
Same!
...Actually, no. One friend hates HP, and will go 'Okay, this sort of kinda not really redeems it' (she's the bi friend), and the others will go '...No wonder you like it' and freak out (they're the straight Christian friends). Because, obviously, you can't like anything Alice likes. She only likes gay books and fantasy books. >>
...Wait, that's true.

omg
omg, when i read the 7th book i totally thought he was gay, abd then i was like "no, couldnt be! must just be my overactive (but still amazing) imagination"
lol, woot party!
**Far from a saint, not quite a sinner**
I know right?! Every time I
I know right?! Every time I caught gay undertones or subtleish sexual references I'd think to myself, "Oh hohoho Jo you sneaky dirty lady!" It wasn't just craziness after all!
I was so happy when that
I was so happy when that happened. I still haven't stopped squeling over Dumbledore.

I did not predict that at
I did not predict that at all, but now that I know, I understand Dumbledore a bit better.
The Power of Love
Imagine what already anti-HP people might think, hmm! Especially with the Dumbledore+Harry relationship...
but that's great that JKR "came out" with the info for everyone :)
You're Amazing.
Well...
Yeah, I can imagine it. But it won't make anybody who was already reading it from stopping. It'll simply make the über-christian crackpots who were avoiding it in the first place look just that little bit funnier while defending their case against it.
The series is over, too. It's too late for too big of an action, anyway. It actually wasn't all that big a risk on Rowlings part, a revelation like this at the end of the books, which is why I think it's now that she's telling, as opposed right after the release of Chamber of Secrets.
"Politely rude. Briskly vague. Firmly uninformative"
I was just reading this.
And I thought "Ha, Oasis is going crazy about this news, isn't it?" I sign on here, and sure enough "HARRY POTTER GAYNESS!" This is cool news though.
Lol, Jk Rowling went over a script for the prince Hp movie and while Dumbledore is thinking about his past loves (woman) Jk crossed that part out and wrote "Dumbledore is gay" ha ha, I love the attitude there its like "Wow! wow wow, he doesn't swing that way buddy!" He he.

I was talking to this gay
I was talking to this gay guy yesterday, and he was happy Harry Potter wasn't so straight, but disappointed that the only gay character was a lonely old man.....
