Yes, I intentionally left a comma out of the title. That's how it's supposed to be read ^^ Anyways. There's a guy at my school who is absolutely amazing--not in the drop-dead gorgeous way or anything, because I'm not, plus I'm the first to admit I don't appreciate that stuff all too much on guys, but... he's just so incredibly nice, and sweet, and fun, and energetic, and sincere. Plus he's TALENTED as ALL FUCK. He can act, he can dance, he can sing, and OH MY FUCKING GOD CAN HE PLAY PIANO/COMPOSE! This guy is a genius! And he's a fucking sophomore! He's the main cause of most of my dispairing about making a living as a musician/composer. I think, "He'll make a ton of money in music... I'll be living in a cardboard box." Arg. But the point is, he acts REALLY gay. And everyone jokes about his gayness, even though he's had a girlfriend, etc. But I was getting really curious, so the other day, I just asked him if he was gay or not xD and he said yes. I didn't have enough preamble so he mighta been weirded out by the question, but I sent him an email apologizing for the uber-bluntness, and he thanked me for being blunt and just asking. And there's one more GLBT person at my school! YESSS!
In other news... me and Chris (guy, ex-best friend's boyfriend but a really sweet guy) just went to B&N in Union Square and.... and... spent a good hour+ looking at old books in the children's' section, esp. picture books, and getting really, really nostalgic. We'd just name books and the other would go "OMG I READ THAT HOLY SHIT!!" It was fantastic. ^^

That sounds great! And
That sounds great! And pfft, piano composers these days may be better off than some, but I highly doubt he'll be raking in cash just writing songs... especially when every literate person on the planet can write a song.
With the compositions though, mmm; still, LOTS of competition and aclaim for your work is probably in the range of... zero. Who composed the music on songs for Beyonce, Madonna, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake? Alicia Keys is the only pianist of our generation that comes to mind for ME and she is also her own songstress!
I love that there's another GLBT person there though, yaaaaaay!
You're Amazing.
