I did it because the coworker was asking me questions and I was asking them questions and they asked if I had a 'significant other' and I somehow took the que and said not until later on... and I'm not sure about my current feelings/somethingorother. And they nodded and went on and I went on and we talked about it for about 10 minutes.

And it wasn't awkward. Except I think it might get awkward in future. Damn. At least the coworker isn't vindictive or someone I'll work with my whole life. Then again, wtf am I thinking THAT for when I want to come out to the WORLD at large before age 25 for sure?!

Ahhhhhhh, I feel like I made a mistake in part, just because we could've been fine as is and I almost feel like they have something over on me, although they'd never blackmail me or anything!
