L Word Threesome!!! Oh, and GLBT Books!

YAY! My L Word seasons 1-3 finally got here! I'm so happy ^.^

Change of subject. Yesterday I went to the library to find books. I searched under gay and lesbian in the computer catalog and all I found were outdated books from the early 90s >.< In one of the books it said, "..and we can expect the 90s to be filled with many gay issues." Yeah, very old.

Also, it said there is a great rift between the gays and lesbians so that'll hurt them in the gay rights movement. Yeah, I know the book is old, but is that still true today? Just wondering...

I went to Barnes & Nobles today. The Gay and Lesbian section was sooooooooo small and was mostly full of erotica :P I'm proud to say I wasn't embarrassed.....Okay I was. But just because I was scared my mom would see me. But when strangers came around the corner, I just smiled at them :D

When I'm looking for gay

When I'm looking for gay books, I usually browze the young adult section. That's where I find Julie Anne Peters and David Levitan and even (*shudder*) the Rainbow Boys shit trilogy.

Of course, Little old me is hanging in Massachusetts again this weekend, so I'm going to get my GLBT lit fix at this gay bookstore in Northamton I've been meaning to check out. =)

Whatever I did, I didn't do it.

haha me & my sister go in

haha me & my sister go in that section (because I make her) and I look at the books for men too so she won't suspect me...
We put the porn books out where everyone can see them and when a stranger comes we pretend to look at the biographies, which are next to the section.

In the library there's the

In the library there's the sociology section and they've got quite a few random gay themed books there. But they're really odd, because there's everything from humour books to, like John Boswell (as in the historian). And very little actual sociology. It's really stupid. But there's a chair there by the radiator.

In Borders the books on queer theory are along from politics opposite religion and philosophy, by women's studies and sociology. Fiction is in with all the other fiction. Erotica is in with the rest of the erotic. Near the travel guides.
