I had this wonderful idea.
Mitt Romney is anti-gay, publicly anti gay marriage.
We should all band together to make a statement about it.

It's really easy.

1) I sent him this message on his myspace (http://www.myspace.com/mittromney)

I agree that gays should be allowed all the same rights as heterosexual couples.
I disagree that the purpose of marriage is to raise a child. Are marriages between sterile couples any less valid than other marriages? Marriage is about love and commitment pure and simple.
As for creating an institution of Civil Unions, or something close to-but-not-quite marriage I have this to say.
Didn't we try that separate but equal thing before?

Didn't work so well, did it?

THIS is why Gay Marriage should be legal.
I simply don't see the threat that people promising to love and each other could pose. Does one couple's divorce lessen the validity of another couple's marriage? Then how on Earth could a same-sex marriage lessen the validity of any other marriage?

Like The Beatles (one of your favorite bands, according to your myspace) said, all you need is love.

2) I added him as a friend so I can post comments on his page

3) I plan on posting andrea gibson's poem "I do" on his page as often as I can just to be a pain.
If you haven't seen her poem, it's one of the strongest arguments for gay marriage I have ever seen.
It moved me to tears the first time I heard it.
