If you're over age of consent, and your SO is under age of consent, and this option is on the table, be very careful... age of consent stuff is pretty slam-dunk in the legal system, since, unless there is a Romeo and Juliet provision, and you're over it and they're under it, you're screwed. Beyond that, a restraining order shouldn't be an option if the person isn't a minor and THEY don't say they want it...
