I put four gay books on my library queue list. They are:
- Being homosexual : gay men and their development by Richard A. Isay
- You aren't alone : the voices of homosexuality by Peggy Kirk
- The full spectrum : a new generation of writing about gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and other identities by David Levithan
- Together forever : the gay man's guide to lifelong love by Martin Kantor
Geography Club (and anything else by Brent Hartinger)
Rainbow Boys (and anything else by Alex Sanchez)
Totally Joe
Keeping You A Secret (and anything else by Julie Anne Peters)
---
"Be like a postage stamp. Stick to one thing until you get there." -- Josh Billings.
The Fortunate Fall by Rafael Carter. It's not *all* about being ay, but the main character is gay and a pretty big part of the story is her relationship with another woman. And besides, it's an amazing amazing book.
Never be afraid to stand up for whats right. If you lose your values, you've lost yourself, so dont let someone change you into someone you arnt. Don't be afraid of the punishment, Rejoyce in the freedom that let to it.
How is it that I never rate a mention in these lists? I'm starting to get an inferiority complex.
Orphan's Quest, by Pat Nelson Childs. A fast-paced, engrossing Fantasy novel with two smackalicious gay heroes. Available from my website(www.samersguild.com) or on Amazon.com. Okay, it's not an "about being gay" book, but I highly recommend it nonetheless, as the author and I are very close.
