ATTENTION: All of You Who Are Reading Orphan's Quest

patnelsonchilds's picture

Hey Guys!

For those of you who are reading (or have already read) my novel, Orphan's Quest, one of the things that would help me a great deal is if you'd give me just a little feedback blurb on how you liked it. I'll be using them on the "Reader Reviews" page of my website as well as in the press kits I send out to reviewers and elsewhere. It would be great if I could also have your first name and age for the quote. If you don't want to give your real first name, you can just make one up. But I'd like your age to be able to show a broad range of appeal. I've got 30, 40, even 50 year olds also reading and enjoying the book, so that should be a great way to convince an agent to represent me.

If any more of you want to read it, I'm still offering the free download link. Just send me a message and I'll reply with the link. My only price is this little blurb telling my how you liked it. If you have constructive criticism, I always welcome it. I do have more books to write, and although I want my books to appeal to as many people as possible, teens and young adults are my real target audience. So don't be afraid to tell me what you think. I'm a big boy; I can take it.

Thanks in advance, everyone. I've really enjoyed sharing Orphan's Quest with you, especially those who don't have easy access to gay themed books. I write primarily to share, not to make money. I figure that will come in time. So don't be afraid to ask for the free download. I don't mind giving them out in the least.

Ciao!
Patrick

I forgot to say, you can just reply to this post with your blurb. That may, others may decide they want to read it too. .

Im not really good with

Im not really good with reviews... hell I wouldn't even put it with fair abilities... but.... here, I'll try...

I normally don't read fantasy style books; however, I greatly enjoyed "Orphan's Quest." While, when I started reading the book, I didn't know about some of the mythical characters common to fantasy novels, by the end I had a much firmer grasp on such characters as elves, and sidhe. Childs does a great job pulling you into his story. While Childs does put in romance into the novel, and it does play a part in the plot, it doesn't over play the other bits of the storyline. I can't wait for the movie.

Thanks Commander! I think you did a fine job. Of course I'm biased because it's my book. Still, I like it.

Ooh, I read that one...

Just read Kissing Kate. It was... it was good, but it wasn't gay enough for me xD But actually, yeah, it wasn't. I don't know how, exactly, but it was too short, and didn't go deep enough into a lot of stuff. But it was still good.

Life is short: make fun of it.

i truly loved it!

heyhey!

i prii printed up the entire book on to my computer...read it within three hours, and have since lent it to all of my queer friends...so far NOT ONE PERSON has said they didnt like it! the only complaint was that there wernt enoungh sex scenes...but considering who said that, he says that about every book. it is truly fantastic, and i cant wait to read the rest of the trilogy. i have a list that i update anually, of queer books which is displayed at our public libraray, and they have ratings....trust me, yours ir rated VERY WELL!
Keep on writing! and God Bless with you battle with HIV.

Wow I totally missed this

Wow I totally missed this post. Thanks Suzie! If I'm not mistaken, I believe you're in Australia, so getting the actual book there, though possible (I will ship anywhere), would be expensive. However, the download is available on my website for just $6.35, so by all means pass my website along too (www.samersguild.com). I hope to get onto AmazonUK soon, but until I find someone to distribute for me in Australia, the shipping costs would still be prohibitive I'm afraid.

Anyway thanks for the great review. I really appreciate it.
