I am related to Seymour Pine, the inspector with the NYPD who led the raid. He didn't talk about it for decades afterwards and only a few years ago said they were enforcing laws a number of cops, including himself, felt were wrong.

i've heard that... actually,

i've heard that... actually, when i went to research stonewall, i searched for the cops' perspective. i don't think stonewall was against those particular cops, more just a group of people that were being raided yet again, and discriminated against yet again, and had finally had enough.
