i have a friend, he's very gay, and i have no clue what to get him. i was thinking a shakira CD (he adores her) but i'm not sure which ones he has. he likes art....or at least he used to so maybe paint. i can't buy him clothes because he's got extremely expensive tastes...

Never, they win over all the LGBT people I know...but then again I am a techie...so all of the LGBT people I know are from theater, art nights, or ACT (all of whom either love Broadway or art supplies). Or get a cute knock off of designer brand clothing or accessories and customize it to something irressitable lovable. Last Christmas I embroidered my friend's name in Olde English onto a fake Louis Voutton wallet and he loved it.

I like multiple smaller gifts or gifts with more 'fun' as the theme! Try: a kaleidoscope, telescope, slinky, boardgame, BoppIt! or Pogostick! Could also always go with a gay-oriented book (gay romance yum) or a hunk calendar (well I don't think any gay boy would actively use that unless they're very out, but still hmm) or a few tubs of Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

Also if there are any movies you’ve seen together and liked, you could get him a DVD. If you share taste in books, you could always get him a copy of one you enjoyed. If you want to do something silly you could buy some sparkly glitter make up and nail polish. That’s always fun to play with.
