I voted closed mouth because it's a type of contact that isn't very typical. The other kisses are progressions from the closed mouth.

I'm a total advocate for French kissing, it's much better than any other kissing, and I would say if you're going to have a proper first kiss with someone then there'd be some tongue action involved. Personally I don't know how you can get it wrong, if you're a bad kisser it's most likely your lips or teeth, not your tongue. If you've ever seen the 'Beautiful' video by Christina, there is a great example of a good kiss! *grin*
I find the best kiss is from open mouth for a little bit and then slip in the tongue. Mwah.

For me, I find an open mouth kiss to be romantic, and since it's a first kiss, I'd hold my tongue back being that it's a much more formal, innocent event than kissing someone you've kissed before.

A "first kiss" to me is someone's first mouth-to-mouth kiss that is serious in any way; like, if you're joking around with your friends and one of them pecks you on the mouth, that doesn't really count as a "first kiss". At least, not to me. But anything more serious than that is a "first kiss", as long as it's your first one.
