The nature of this site...

I've been reading various entries throughout the site and I've noticed a few general things about it as such.

One thing I believe is that people come to this site in order to receive help, but so many seem to be looking for help that they don't ever seem to give much of it in return.

I'm not trying to accuse people of not trying to help but that seems to be the case. What I'm trying to say is that every journal entry I read either had little or no responses or the responses were, more than not, usually stemmed off from one particular response and thus changes the subject of what the original piece or writing was about.

I'm still new so please cut me some slack but either way I was just wondering...

What's up with that???

Or is it that I am just wrong like I am in so many other instances?

I'd like to know.

I think most people come on here just to get things off their chest and feel more connected to others going through the same things as them. It helps to write questions down to get them straight in your head and if you get answers then all the better!

Well...

Partially because people are lazy
Partially because people don't like to think about others
But at the same time - people like to bitch, and a lot of people suck at giving advice (I do). We've had a case before where we all urged someone to come out and then he got kicked out when he did. bad advice is worse than none. Or at other times we just don't know what to say

As some other people have mentioned here, sometimes its hard to know what to say to give good advice.Thats the reason I don't comment sometimes.But its good to be able to just come on here and vent,its good when people respond,but even just get it out in the open helps.
