Hello all,
What do you think of love songs? Any pet-peeves? Favourites? Other stuff?
To answer my own question:
In general, I find them irritating, but I like a select few. I just hate the crappy pop type ones.

Ew 80's ballads
Ya, I could do without the power ballads. The thing is that almost any song could be a love song. Open Window by Sarah Harmer has made the top of my list, but one time I heard my friend sing "O mio babbino caro," an opera piece by Puccini, and it was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. It's about a girl loving someone she can't have I think.

The Nose Is Back
Computer problems. Anyway, my faves are 'White Flags' by Blue Oyster Cult, and 'Moonglum', by Hawkwind, but Moonglum is a different kind of love song. It's about unconditional love. It's subtitled, 'Friend Without A Cause', and it exists because of the Elric stories by Michael Moorcock. Very depressing and entertaining set of books.

love songs make me feel alone :( especially if i listen to them alone. but there are three that i like, and are on the scissors sister's newie "ta-dah". "The Other Side", "Might Just Tell You Tonight" and "Land of a Thousand Words".
however, there are probably many many more that i like but i've forgotten. i'm like that.

I've always really hated love songs until I started imaging the person singing was singing to a person of the same sex. That made it all better, and I pretty much like all love songs that arn't gender specific.
