I'm leafing through the fabulous August issue of Cosmo, and I near the back of the magazine, and my heart literally skips a beat or two. Here's why:
At the top of the page, it says, "Young, Gorgeous, and Gay". It shows a picture of the two authors, Lauren Blitzer and Lauren Levin, and then it displays an interview with the two.
Throughout all this, I'm thinking, "I'd love to read this book!"
So, when I find a copy of the book, I'm going to read it. Hopefully.
If anyone knows of any books that deal with lesbianism (For lack of a better term, sorry!), please tell me. With that said, I'm going to check out the Books Forum. Thanks for reading!

if you want fiction, Annie on
if you want fiction, Annie on my Mind by Nancy Garden is the book to read. it's the orrigional and the best. i think i've read them all, and they all pretty much have the same story, i wont spoil it for you here, but they're really all the same, including keeping you a secret. i have a soft spot for annie on my mind because it was the first one i read, and also because it was the first to be written, in 1982, but it doesnt feel dated when you read it, you could pretend it's 2006. It's out of print now, so you may have trouble finding it to buy, i went to six book stors in 3 different states to find it, but your local library will probably have a copy.

: : a few suggestions : :
Tipping the Velvet and Fingersmith both by Sarah Waters are good reads. They're historical though...turn or the century. Theres also Oranges Are not the Only Fruit by Jeannette Winterson. A classic. Some of Val McDermid's books featuring Kate Brannigan have a lesbian couple in them too.
If you find any good ones, let me know :)

My lesbianism is an act of Christian charity. All these women out there praying for a man, and i'm giving them my share. - RMB

I never read Cosmo (Partly because I'm a guy and not THAT feminine, and partly because I don't really need make-up tips), but I was at my friend April's house, and read the article--I'd love to read the book
