ok... i may sound so TOTALLY lame, but ive never been to a concert, and i was wonderin.. whats a mosh pit? i know im stupid but w/e

okay...so for the un-educated...
A mosh pit is a huge group of people, usually in the middle, or the general admission section of a venue, who basically beat the crap out of each other, even though it rarely gets violent, for hours on end...tonight's was really intense, but the guys in it were all old-school metal guys and when punches got thrown and people used thier chain wallets as brass knucks, they just beat their asses and the guys didn't give anyone any more trouble...it was fun...there were surprisingly a lot of girls in the pit though...I felt bad for one girl who was short and got stuck in the pit unwillingly...she basically got trampled until me and a couple of other guys picked her up and led her out of the action...

It f-ing kicked ass...BTW I saw Demon Hunter, a kick-ass local metal band, as cities burn, a band from st. louis that loren and greenmind might know-but I can't remember the name, and like three other bands...If there's one word to sum up this concert, it would be this-awesome...Not only did I have fun by myself- none of my bros could go, but I also proved to myself that I can still throwdown in a mosh pit for four intense hours against guys who weigh like 250 lbs...It was seriously intense moshing...Me and a few locs just beat the hell out of each other, but still had fun doing it, for four hours straight...can you say adrenaline rush...I'm already sore, but it was so worth it...I got kicked, kneed, punched, sack-tapped, elbows to the face and stomach and all the other shit of a mosh, but it was an awesome concert...BTW, if you live in Seattle and are in to the local metal/music scene, you should check demon hunter out on myspace...they're a really hardcore, but inspiring metal band and the only scary thing about them is they are hard-core christians...I can't tell you guys how many ppl I saw in there w/ those stupid-ass "STRAIGHT PRIDE" shirts on...and those guys were too pussy to even go in the pit, except one, who totally got his ass beat...I needed to let some aggressionm out in a healthy way though, and moshing is all in the spirit of fun, so it worked well...overall, it was just an awesome experience...too bad all the people I tried to invite couldn't come...going by myself still kicked ass though...
