The Politics of Homosexuality
It really pisses me me off that Homosexuality is such a big issue in government. Why can't they understand that we are people too? Carbon-baseed life forms with 2 arms, 2 legs, and 2 eyes! Human!! Period, end of story, get a life, do not pass GO, do not collect 200 dollars!!!

Well, people are just afraid of what they don't understand and the majority of people have no understanding whatsoever of gays. That's why we're attacked in politics and in so many other places. People are only violent when they're threatened. And gays are persecuted because some people feel threatened by us, whom they understand so little about. I think since gays are taking a larger and larger part in modern culture, politics, the workforce, and contemporary lifestyles everyone's knowledge about us will increase and the mystery behind gays will disappear. Then the hate will too but gay marriage certainly won't!

I completely agree, but can you see that this is not much different than racial descrimination, or discriminating against jews? It just ain't right.

i know. Discriminating against gays is just like discriminating against different races, religions, sex, and stuff like that. Aren't we all supposed to be created, and treated equally, no matter what are beliefs are? We are now being treated the same as minorities, but there are jus as many of us, as there is of them. They obviously feel threatened, and are taking away our rights to get back at us, for not doing anything to them. Politics, it's what destroys the world.

SO TRUE!!! That's why I think we NEED a refreshing of the gay rights movement. Force them to deal with all the opression, all the discrimination. ESPECIALLY IN SCHOOLS! Well that's my 2 cents.

Homosexuality should not be a political and government issue at all...Niether should gay marraige...I think it's because the church and state sepereation is a bunch of crap and too many conservative people have control in politics.
