I don't wanna rain on your party (what else am I good for?), but the United States Senate officially blocked the amendment for this year by a relativly wide margin. Bush was attempting to use the issue to spark debate and flare tempers. He was hoping to get the evangelicals to flock to the republican ticket when the elections came around, but the whole thing is now dead and done with without the extensive debate. Sooo... just thought you should know...
98 percent of the teenage population will try, does, or has tried smoking pot. If you are one of the 2 percent who hasn't, copy and paste this into your signature.
however if the states decide that its what they want, they can over rule the senate... and states have been voting for it... very few have held out....
I'll agree with that. But there is an alternative to consider: if we can't get married or be leagally bonded, then why not create our own form of marriage? We only need to sign contracts with our partner and then cancel them if the relationship ends. This would help to bypass some of the restrictions that gay couples face. Just food for ponderance...

Okay. In that case, I wouldn't be surprised if it passes next year. If the republicans are able to get a larger majority in this year's elections, then there could very well be a gay marriage ban. But I'm still gonna bank on people realizing the mistakes of Iraq, resulting in a shift back toward democrats.

I certainly hope a few states draw the line in the sand, but honestly I'm not very hopefull for the chances of that.... the current state of affairs.... I'm sorry, I think the US is going to hell in a hand basket.... (with a fashionable pink skarf) the democrates aren't gonna defend "us" if they want a hope of being elected... and well we've seen the republicans.... speaking of the republicans... notice how most of their children seam to be gay... coincidence... I think not
I have no idea. I sure hope not, or else George Bush is going to be moved to the top of my hit list. Well, not really, but you know what I mean. It's awful! All of these movements against gay marriage have been seriously depressing me lately. It makes me feel like such a freak.
