So the younger kids that think that anal sex between two men leads to babies have airsoft guns outside now and are shooting at each other.
I don't care how anyone else feels about them, I really freaking don't, but it makes me very unhappy that a bunch of young kids at my apartment complex are running around shooting at each other and talking about killing one another and getting machine guns.
It isn't an okay thing for them to be doing in my opinion as it fosters more violence in an already f'd up generation of young people.
I spoke with our security about it and politely expressed my concerns and was informed that they had spoken with their employer about it and been told that it was okay. But it isn't. I hear homophobic remarks every time I open the window and now I hear mock gunfire. I'm not okay with this.
Just thought I would share.

you HEAR the airsoft guns????
Unless they are the gas kind, I find that hard to believe. My stance on this whole thing is that kids have been "Shooting" at each other with mock guns for a long time now. Just because they say they are going to get a machine gun, it does not mean that they will. Besides, most kids wouldn't even have access to those kinds of guns. In my opinion, you are overeacting to this situation. Besides, it is the job of the parents, not the neighbor, to tell the child what they can and cannot do or have. Let the parents make the decision...I don't mean to sound like an ass, but I don't think that kids playing w/ airsoft and paintball guns means that they're going to go insane and shoot up the school. That's my opinion, you may not agree w/ it, but that is also coming from an NRA member's mind, so I guess I'm just using old gun control arguments. I don't think the kids are really a threat, they are just playing...

I know they don't have access
I know they don't have access to machine guns-- I'm not a total moron. And no, I have not gone up to these kids and told them that they shouldn't be playing like that, I'm aware that it is the responsibility of the parents to make sure that their children do not hurt each other.
However when I walk across the grass to get to my home I don't like that I run the risk of being hit by one of these kids. As my name is on the lease for my apartment it is within my rights to express my concern to security. If the kids had been playing with cap guns or squirt guns it wouldn't have even been an issue.
I'm bothered by the fact that violence is continuing to be so glorified which was pretty much the point of my post.
These kids can be really violent, not just the typical rough and tumble violent, but scary real damage inducing violent.
And yes, I could hear the guns, that's part of why I looked to see what was going on. I live upstairs and they were directly below me so I couldn't see them from the window I could just hear them talking and the sound.
I don't live in the nicest of neighborhoods and this in addition to the loud domestic disputes and the cops showing up on a daily basis really gets to me.
I'm not against the kids having these guns, they can do whatever they want for all I care, but they don't need to be shooting them directly at each other around the playground or at the two and three year olds. The courtyard/grassy area that they were at is space that's usually used for soccer or football games and where I like to go to do my homework and write.
There are places they can be taken to play paintball or with these guns in the area. Their location was not ideal.

semi true..
It is the job of the parents to tell the child what they can or cannot do or have, up until the point where someone being affected by the child[ren] is feeling uncomfortable. Have you ever been shot by an airsoft or paintball gun up close? 'Cause it hurts like hell, and they leave welts. Little kids don't always have perfect aim or control over what they're doing, and if it makes her uncomfortable she has every right. If you lived in apartment building, and there was a place in the yard you liked to be, but there was a potential of earning yourself some welts, would you like to be there? I wouldn't think so. I wouldn't either.
I'd be worried too. Maybe talking to their parents might help, if you asked them nicely. Maybe suggest that you could set something up, and they're allowed to shoot past a certain distance, and not towards this area you like to be? They might be understanding.. it's worth the try :) good luck with it though.

sooooo, the gun thing, not so
sooooo, the gun thing, not so good. but i told my friend about the men getting pregnant from anal sex thing, and she seriously cracked up. of course, i told her this right after she said that i should have her lesbian babies. and then we decided that our friend and the guy he likes should try to get pregnant. and the she talked about some sort of artificial uterus or something that some scientists are developing for men so they can get pregnant....
it was a very strange lunch period
she's the mistake i would always gladly continue making
My sister didn't find the man
My sister didn't find the man babies as amusing as I did...but she wasn't picturing every gay man I know pregnant--and some guys that aren't gay. One of my friends asked me if I would have his children a while back and I told him no...and now I can tell him if he tries hard enough he too can enjoy the wonders of childbirth...

Eh...
If we can't get world leaders to understand that guns don't solve problems, not sure why we should hold out much hope for kids.

Can't do it
men may not be able to preg. but it is sure fun
trying ain't it????
Airguns? not familure with what they are. Please
explaine? Do you mean like B B guns or Air rifles?
Pellet guns? If so there are city laws which forbid
the use with in city limits of such things. Check with
the local police dept and find out. If they are just
do an annomious thing called a phone call from
a public phone booth. They won't know who called,
and the guns will disapear when the police take them
away. Especially when Windows and street lights seem
to be getting broken in the neighbor hood all the time
mmmm...seems to solve some crimes don't it???
