2 books with lesbian characters

I recently read two books I thought you all might enjoy...

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
The Hours by Michael Cunningham

They're not exactly "lesbian books," but they have lesbian characters.

Has anyone read either of these, and what did you think?

i dont agree that you could call ruth (the lovely bones) a lesbian. shes just been touched by something more powerful than life. her thing with ray proves than id say.

you're right, rowie. i guess i meant that more in a "girls who like girls" sort of way.

oh, and now i have another character to add to this category- Moira from A Handmaid's Tale by margaret atwood. though the book doesn't specifically deal with Moira's relationships with women, it's an interesting read with feminist themes.

I use to be Someday's Dreamer but something happened to my account. Kaorin is not a fangirl of Sakaki, the last episode of Azumanga Daioh is all you need as proof.
