umm...gays can't have kids by nature...
So I feel this is a fairly dumb question. However, if I ever decided to adopt a kid or to artificially inseminate a woman I fell in love w/ and have a kid, I'd want to be called dad.

I think the point was to support the idea of gays having kids in the future, to fight a tiny bit against those stereotypes.

When the kids are young I want them to call me daddy. But when they get a little older, I want to be called dad. But first I got to come out to my parents, get a career, get a husband and then get a child

Right now I strongly believe
Right now I strongly believe that I will not have children. I have no desire to. I know that may disappoint my parents, but I said it enough times to my mother that she gets the point to stop talking about it. Though, on the other hand, in the distant future if my partner were to ever change my mind, I don't think i'd want to be the one giving birth (or there is always adoption). Anyway, I find it too weird for any child to call me mom, etc. So I think I would rather to just be called by my name.
