well, we (most of us anyway ;-) dont mind rambles as most of us (I) do them all the time. when u say there are other people out there going through the same thing, its a complete understatement! there are TONS of other people going through many kinds of things much similar to yours. there are plenty of people here willing to help u, like me! this is the first of ur entries ive read and i like u already! message me (or anyone) when u need me (or anyone :-).

don't worry about the rambling, i got told by the other person who wrote a comment here (hey dude) that every seconds journal entry seems to be mine and they're all short. lol, kinda true but.... whateva!
onto u'r topic, "me" said, heaps of people all over the world feel the exact same thing you are. it's perfectly understandable to feel uncomfortable to talk about it to u'r friends, i only just came out to three of them last week, and i'm not confused abuot my sexuality, i'm very gay for the last four years. lol, there are actually quite a lot of people on the forums here that have the same issue as you, you should go have a rad of them.
other than that, make u'rself at home and remember, i'm the nicest person here
