OFFICIAL PETITION FOR SEX FORUM!
I am creating this petition topic to get a forum for Sex-Related topics created. I feel its my divine duty to do so :P.
Basicly by posting a reply you submit your name to the petition that Oasismag should have a sex forum, for sex related topics.
And to kick us off!

I am not sure if it is a wise idea. Since a bunch of creeps can just log on to oasis and look at the posts and issues of teenagers. There is a bunch of older creeps out there who get turned on by teenagers so I am hesitant of starting a sex forum. And I would find it creepy espcially since non members to oasis can go around the site without any blocks. I hope I am not being a wet blanket but thats just me.

I'm not trying to be offensive, but can you really elaborate on what content is suitable for a "sex" forum?
Apparently, creeps or perverts can take advantage of that forum and kind of downgrade the site as a whole. If there's really something that's worth discussing (health-sex issues) then I don't see why it can't be posted in the discussion section.

They are plenty of other places on the interenet were prevents can (and do get off), I HIGHLY doubt that Oasis is a stop for them even if we hd a real time under 18 erotica forum with pictures and descriptions.
Plus I think its a great idea for people who have questions but may be to scared to ask it because they think its "lude" or something like that. I mean I dont want Oasis to become a porno site... but you get the idea

Why?
Sex forums are not what Oasis is about--at least not erotic, porno ones. Oasis is about providing support and a sense of comraderie among queer teenagers online. If we establish a sex forum, Oasis could easily become just another sex/hookup site. It has too precious a role on the Web to let that happen.
If people need help/support in a sex-related issue, then that's fine to post, but I don't see why we'd need a sex forum to do that.

Not that I should be one to talk, but it sounds kinda trashy and superfluous to me. We usually talk about sex when we want--I'm not sure that a forum is going to help facilitate that anymore.

If you want to talk about sex related issues, you could just as easily create your own site, then just tell people to go there for sex-related topics. That way, you wouldn't have to drag us in to your twisted and obviously childish lifestyle.
But of course, you won't do as I advise, because when someone has an opinion that differs from your own, you automaticaly disagree, and start acting more childish.
The one upside of you being on this website is that you keep me very entertained waiting to see what other random sh*t you will come up with!

I don't think a sex forum is a good idea cause that is one of the reasons I like Oasis cause it's not a over sexual site and I think a sex forum would take it in that over sexual direction. Just my opinion.

There's nothing preventing anyone from bringing up sexual discussions now in the general discussion area, and there's a huge risk that it would steer Oasis is the wrong direction long-term. Same reason there isn't a chat room here. When you give guys into young guys a reason to hang out here, they will.

Not that there's anything wrong wiyth sex (as yopu all should know, that's how I feel) but the site needs to stay how it is.
