Okay, first of all, very few of us walk up to a complete stranger and say, I'm gay r u. More often, we do a little detective work first. Bring up some news topic while you are having a casual conversation(NOTE: Make sure the conversation has a carefree atmosphere, or he may not open up). Make sure the topic is somewhat involving gays. Like, "Hey, I heard that some church in New York now supports Gay marriage," or "I heard somewhere that Scientists think a group of genes decides sexual orientation." Say this in during a pause, when one string of thoughts has definitely ended, because otherwise, you will seem odd, since chances are, the topic you are bringing up is totally non sequitor to what you were previously talking about. If he is like, "godam faggots," look elsewhere. However, if he is really interested, or smiles and says "wow, that's cool" then he has good marks already. Try other ways of discretely getting his position on gays. If he's pro, you could mention you are gay casually, but if he's not, don't bother. Don't tell him you are gay AND that you dig him all in the same conversation. After a while of being friends with him, and being out, then consider if you want to ask him out. Does this help?

Aren't you a little young to know what you wanna be for the rest of your life? You haven't really reached puberty yet...you have no idea what kinda influences hormones have on your judgements. I know you feel secure with yourself, but you don't even know what it is to depend on yourself yet. THere's much time to find a boyfriend/girlfriend...just keep your eyes open and enjoy life. You don't need to change yourself to do so.
