I want to laugh
I want to cry
I want to live
I want to die
Behold me
Forlorn flower
Always hoping
Always dreaming
Always fading
A forgotten rarity
Struggling
In a garden of Despair
I want to laugh
I want to cry
I want to live
I want to die
I am the statue
All gaze upon
Never touching
Never holding
Never loving
This marble mistake
Elevated
On its ugly pedastal
I want to laugh
I want to cry
I want to live
I want to die
I gaze in the broken mirror
Of my soul
Cracked by all the lies and deceit
Where's my handsome prince
Shiny armour
Arriving to save me from defeat
I don't want him
Or that one either
All I want is you
Only your love shall save me
I try to laugh
Instead I cry
I try to live
Instead I die

Beautiful... and I"m not just saying that
"This marble mistake..." - it's such a chilling phrase. I really like this poem. It's so frigging sad and true! When you love someone - need someone, who just won't love you: or at least won't need you back... and they end up ruining your life - not by what they've done, but what they haven't done: love you. Anyway, that's my interpretation: it's probably very wrong, but I feel this poem and I've been there...
Sorry for not reading it sooner - I haven't been checking oasis for about a month or so... Keep writing man!
