Hey, does anybody else here who is out at school have this problem where people at school automatically expect you to be like the gay stereotype? I know people who are like "OMG you're the gay guy right? Tell me all about your gay lifestyle!" (No that is not a literal translation, put you get it) It's like they expect me to be totally different from them, and when they realize that I am not like someone on 'Will and Grace,' they get bored with me. And when I do talk about serious gay stuff, like how I really want a boyfriend, they get all pissy and say like, "All you ever talk about is being gay!" Not true, and when I do talk about wanting a boyfriend, that is just like one of them complaining about not having a friend of the opposite gender. Plus, when they express their views on controversial stuff like religion, I never complain, but when I do the same, they get all in a huff, and say stuff like, "You know, what you're saying may offend others." What I think is --Well, the way you treat me is offending! If someone has a differing opinion, they should say so, let's have a discussion, (this is school, a forum for learning right?) and if they don't want to, fine, but I am still entitled to expressing myself anyway I want! I don't need your approval to be happy, or successful!--Anyone in accord or discord with me?

"My darling girl, when are you going to understand that "normal" isn't a virtue? It rather denotes a lack of courage. "
