I despise labels, period. I think they're stupid. But since I have to live in America, Label Capital, I have to deal with it. My way of dealing is to ignore it as much as I can. I don't label-shop. I don't label persons. I stopped caring what other people said about my clothes and the way I dressed and the "awful image" I was "projecting." Once you quit caring about it, you start a trend -- which naturally becomes the new thing and you have to deal with being called a hypocrite and start all over again. But I'd rather start a trend than follow other people's trends.
