I'm really thinking dating do
I'm really thinking dating doesn't work so well myself. You get to know them better as friends, but I suppose, even then they can be pretending, but you would hope they wouldn't be. Why can't we all just be ourselves and say "I'm sorry" afterwards if it hurts?

Yes, and I think the comparison could also work with the Tantalus myth - at least, where he's in the underworld, or any of the other myths where what they want is always out of reach, though it appears reachable.
