I don't know what it translates to exactly. But "haute coutere"
means like high end fashion. The really expensive, generaly
european stuff.

Hmm... well, the goodwill is one... torrid to a certain extent. The gap... Vintage shop downtown, fabric store, mom's clothes, online. But really, all I need is a cheap prom dress and some scissors and safety pins. Clothes are so great... ///_^

Trendy retailers Abercrombie & Fitch, already facing a lawsuit charging racist hiring practices, discriminates against its salespeople based on their attractiveness, according to a report on Sunday's CBS news magazine 60 Minutes. Two ex-managers for the clothing chain told 60 Minutes that corporate representatives of Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (ANF.N) routinely had them reduce the hours of less attractive salespeople. A class-action lawsuit filed against the chain on Nov. 19 charged the retailer was selling a lifestyle it calls Classic American Style that has led to an overwhelmingly white work force. The retailers were also in the news recently for recalling their notoriously racy Christmas catalog, which featured fully or nearly nude young people posing alone, in couples, threesomes and groups in about one-fourth of its 280 pages.---- I think I re-call someone leaving a post saying that they were discriminated against for their "looks" You should hop on this WAGON FAST. You should get a Lawyer and Get the Cash you deserve for your " Years of Self-Image Issues due to Abercrombie Cruel Selfish Hiring Standards. "

A&F are making big money now becuase "gay-like white washed" photo shoots and dance music blasting from their stores. Too bad most of the guy community is falling for it.

Trendy retailers Abercrombie & Fitch...discriminates against its salespeople based on their attractiveness

What a shocker. A clothing store, which by nature is selling good looks, doing its utmost to hire good looking salespeople. Well, knock me over with a feather.

Don't get me wrong, I take as much pride as the next radical in never having set foot in such a godless place; I buy thrift almost exclusively. Fight the power and shit. But come on, would you get your hair done by someone with a bad bowl cut and split ends?

Abercrombie and Fitch was in the news a while back because of a racist t-shirt that showed offensive caracatures of Chinese people.

I'm a Goodwill man, m'self - the clothes are cheap, tacky, and the profits go towards job training for disabled people.

Mom has forced me to shop at american eagle,A&F,and every other high end "preppy" store you could think of.I was lucky I could drag her into pac sun for 20 minutes last time we bought clothes.

no offence but i would never call those labels haute coutere! i mean..what on earth?
but if its just fashion in general..sass & bide, bettina liano,one teaspoon...-god how patriotic of me haha.yay supporting aussie designers hehe...anyway the point is there is no way GAP will EVER be classified as haute couture..and anyone who says it is...needs to buy a new wardrobe. haha.
