I just wanted to share my love of this film with the rest of the users of
this site.
For those who have not seen it before it's 3 different stories all set in
the same house and brings up many lesbain issues through out time.
The first story is about this old lady and her gf. the gf falls of a ladder and dies
of a stroke. However, allthough they both bought thier house together since
it is in the dead person's name it is now in the possession of her nephew
who is trying to take all the possessions while she has to grieve pretending
that her and her gf were just friends.
The second one is in my opinion THE BEST. It's about these hippy femisists
who decide to go to the dyke bar on the edge of town. One of them is
intersted in this girl there who dresses like a guy. But her friends
dissaprove of her and think that it's 'worse than imagining her with a man'.
Bringing up a lot of issues about the feminist movement and the misunderstancing
between feminism and equalitism. They say they are trying to break down gener
sterotypes, but if one if to break these then surely they should not judge
people by if their clothes are 'masculine' of 'feminine'.
And finally the third story is about this couple who want a baby and the
ways in which they go about trying to get one.
Personally i found it quite easy to get hold of as 7 of the libaries in my
borough have it so it can be rented for £1 for a week.
