Fox has gone to new lows in their idiotic quest for reality television. As though Bill O'Reilly was not enough, fox has gone and produced perhaps the most homophobic atrocious television that I have yet to see- "Playing it Straight"

In this bout of moronic "reality" competitions one stereotypical attractive women must select one man from a pool of 14. But there is a catch, which the self-inflated peas-sized executives of Fox are patting themselves on the back for- not all the men are straight. Behold, therefore, the ingenious snatch- if the stereotypical woman selects (god willing) a straight man, the two share the prize of 50-50. If, however, the young harlot's IQ of 35 selects (god forbid) the gay man, than she gets nothing and the man gets everything!

Shock! Horror!

Now why am I OUTRAGED over this show? For the obvious implications which the show exudes. I herein present them:

1) All men should act as society tells them and if they do not they may be removed!

Men are not to be weak vain creatures, more interested in the cotton count of their sheets; but rather, they should be more concerned with the grade of coper used for their indoor plumbing. Men who are the former ought, says the evil "they" of (the American Capitalistic) society, to be mocked for their effeminate (childishly, and erroneously) deviation from the molds of society. Men of the latter, on the other hand, ought, says the same "they" and echoed by the CEO's and execs of Fox's brainless department, to be honored for their bravery and strict adherence to the frame of society. In essence, men who deviate from the norm of manhood are instantly labeled as homosexuals, and as the show implies, can be removed from the show of life! Essentially, this show reaffirms the religious rights assumptions that flaming homosexual behavior ought to be removed, while supporting the idiotic position that gay men who are straight are deceptive! They are not deceptive! They are simply *gay*. *OUTRAGE*

2) Gay men are vain selfish fags

This show is a microcosm of the capitalistic modern society which has destroyed every sense of the individual. The show obviously implies that gay men, who pretend to be straight, are like all homosexuals vain selfish creatures who despise compromise and women. The straight man, however, wishes to share the money with the women. In one clip which I unfortunately saw on the net the pathetically stupid creature of a woman says "no gay man would kiss a woman"! WHAT! This is an illogical counter-positive drawn from an already logic fallacy. Simply because a man who kisses a woman will not kiss another man, there is no logic evidence to deduce that a man who kisses a man will not kiss a woman! INSANITY! Yet all the men kiss her! This must mean to the deluded intelligence of the shows logic and viewing audience that all the men are straight! *OUTRAGE*

3) All men are assumed to be straight.

The show is not find the straight man, but find the gay man- the assumption then is that all men are straight until proven gay! This doltish assumption, which for so long the gay movement has tried to disprove, is here tacitly approved ! Again we see the CEO's- self-deluded by their own superiority- reaffirming everything the homosexual movement has tried to destroy. *OUTRAGE*

I could go on and on but I think you get the general terms of my complaint. But what, you say, of other shows which reaffirm the gay stereotypes- such as Queer Eye, surely you should be just as outraged.

And in some ways I am- but Queer Eye presents the homosexual in an open and free position. It is, if there could be such a thing a positive stereotype- viz., despite the reaffirmation of the ridiculous credo that all gays are fabulous at hair, shopping, interior decorating &c., it still shows gay men as productive and a good thing. Playing it Straight, however, presents an image of the homosexual as something which ought to be avoided and shunned. In fact the title itself is a homophobic plea for all gays to repress their flaming desires to look FaBuLoUs and play it straight.

Well Fox! I shall not conform to your reductionist view of society. I shall wear my Gucci- or at least keep dreaming of them (and Tom Ford ;))!
