Oh my...
I chose "I would tell 'em", although it really clashes with my personality at school. But you know what? I've had 2 other crushes before (I only count crushes when they become obsessive, else it's not much, just a tiny bit of infatuation), and I've told both guys. It's not like me to do anything so...umm... well, forward. I have to, though. When I feel like it's just eating at me, taking too much of my life away, I panic. I don't like being uncertain. That's how I prepare myself to tell them. And guess what? Now, I'm possibly going to tell crush-3. I know myself, and I'm not the kind to just forget about it. I'm too much of a dreamer to let go so easily. Besides, there are too many "what if"s left hanging. They say curiosity killed the cat, but I'm not a cat, am I? Woof!
What Would TeeAhr Do?
Well, judging from my ever-so-slick performance this weekend, my standard mode of operations seems to go suchlike: Figure out exactly how you're going to say it. Obsess over every word, every nuance, every pause, for weeks on end until you drive yourself to the brink of a nervous breakdown. Wait for exactly the right moment, alone, quiet, semi-romantic, but not overtly or threateningly romantic. Then, finally, totally clam up, trip over your words, and basically blow it all to hell and gone. I know, please, hold your applause.
TeeAhr1. Raving batshit loony? Or HOPE FOR MAN??
Aw hell... stalk 'em
Untill they eventually give in :)
stalk!
not like insane, physical stalking, like standing outside stalkee's house in the dark looking into his/her bedroom or anything... more like filming from afar with my video camera, making decisions based on stalkee and maximising the contact i can get with him/her, positioning myself at vantage points where i can see them the most... this is only when im obsessive though, which is only at first and it tends to die down quickly (rather than building up, which is what happens with crazy stalkers...)
Stalky Stalky!
I admit I chose "Let him/her make the first move" (because that's exactly how I'm operating in real life), but I admit that I was tempted to choose "stalk". It sounds like so much fun! I just love the word-- "stalk". Of course, I have a couple of friends who were stalked on a relatively mild scale (but enough to annoy/freak them out/start blocking messages), and I know that it is not pleasant. In addition, I have Marge Simpson's (paraphrased) advice to Homer when he says that he wants to stalk Lenny and Carl to discover their secret ("The Stonecutters!"): "I wish you would give up stalking! It's so illegal!"
be aggressive
I chose " get a friend to find out for me" simply because my friend Caroline and I have this system where I go up to girls and ask if they're single and gay. Then after tell them that my friend Caroline wants to meet her. The same for me, when I see a guy I like. It's a really good system because you save the time of gaining courage, and avoid totally looking like a fool.
This doesn't me that I haven't acted on my own before. I have plenty of times. It gets easier. My advice is to be as simple as possible when talking to the person, especially if you tend to mumble words like me when I' m nervous.
Whatever you do, take the chance. You won't get anything in life if you don't act.
Mark from the big T.O.
Hm.
If I felt strongly about someone, I would wait for them to make the first move...I don't have the guts to approach anyone I like...too shy :|
