As I'm a trans person who wants to (eventually) adopt children... that's depressing. I have read there are many states that won't allow trans people to adopt because "gender dysphoria" is a major psychiatric illness, but *shrugs* most of the US hasn't entered the 21st century yet anyway.

The current results are incredibly saddening but maybe once it gets out on the net more things will turn up, like the AFA marriage poll did..... *crosses fingers* I don't identify as trans but I'm pansexual and take this rather personally. Anyone who can be a good parent and wants children should be able to have them, there aren't enough caring parents out there to deny someone the chance based on anyhtign like this....
