There is something incredibly sexy about k.d. lang's voice and music. Sexy in a beautiful way, like sitting in a white lace-covered, dimly lit room, not raunchy like listening to a Sean Paul song while watching the girl next to you practically taking her clothes off and the crusty guy looking her up and down with "shake ya ass" engraved in his stare. The combination of her melodic singing and the rhythm and beat of the instruments is the honey of desire and self indulgence sticking to the sides of my soul and dripping down slowly to the core of my existence.

As cliche as that may be.

You know love? Like, maybe the feeling you get when you realize just how much energy and time this person occupies in your mind and body, and how enriched you feel to have whomever it is in your life. Or the heavy, sharp pain you feel in your stomach when you see them again after so many months and realize that this person, too, may have changed so much in ways that you just can't see.

Catching yourself wondering what he would think or what she would say if she saw you doing whatever it is your doing. Comparing the people around to That Person, even though you know how unfair that is.

Wanting so badly to be able to help him or her - craving it - but coming to understand after days and weeks and maybe even months of agonizing frustration that you just can't. And then the tough love that you don't want to give that inevitably has to follow if you want to preserve both of your lives.

Rambling with only half your wit because, when it comes down to it, you really aren't sure what it is you're saying, or why.
