Today, the 23rd of August, civil rights leaders from all walks of life are convening on the steps in front of the Lincoln Memorial. Leaders are standing very much near where Martin Luther King Jr. stood almost 40 years ago. And these leaders are pushing for greater civil rights for everyone, black or arab, gay or straight, christian or jewish, male or female.
Martin Luther King Jr. III spoke earlier today and repeatedly mentioned a Beloved Nation, a nation where discrimination is null and void. A beautiful Beloved Nation.
An historic moment. Let's hope this sets off a civil rights avalanche of unimaginable proportions. Check it out.
I apologize if this seems incomplete, but I wanna listen to what the other speakers have to say.
