My last post was kind of nucky and I had lots of uber goodness to ramble on about, so heres my second blog on my weekend. ^_^
It started early Friday when I had what I guess counts as a bonding experience with my big bro bashing Orlando Bloom in the car, and actually going the speed limit in Nashua. (yes, this is shocking, my mother never does but my brother, being a new driver, is the uber king of paranoia and goes the speed limit. Points to him, I say. Not faery points, just point points though) Finally someone who doesn't think Orli's piss is wine. Then it was off on a two hour car trip to get my twice-before-met great aunt in cape cod, to then take het out to lunch and off to Plymouth. It was rather blah to me unto I realized that I'd seen more gay couples with kids and babies there than in the rest of my life put together. That rather brightened my day. During the rounds of the sights and shops I picked up a nice little stone cross, which although Im not strictly christian is something I've wanted for a while. (a cross, not any particular type)
Spent the night at an uncomfortable but passable hotel, got up unhealthily early to go get the aunt and go to the beach, where a seal desided to beach itself for a bit of a nap, causing untold rucous. Spent the day on the beach; got checked out by some guy which inspired my brother to get brotherly and scowl threatenly an such, but was to busy laughing to care because the guy's brother was checking out mine! It was some funny stuff, especially considering the fact both their parents and our dad was oblivious to it all. It was a laugh, although I think you might have had to have been there. We did way too much fishing, although the spanish family next to us almost caught a shark. I was pretty sure one guy was going to dive in after it, the git. Got home late and washed off a crap load of beach sand before alowing myself to colapse.
Next day also got woken up maddeningly early by my father, and ran around in a bad mood trying to get ready and keep some form of sanity in the house at large, as father had layed siege to mother's house while she was away with her friends for the weekend, which was why we slept there. Mother got home finally and joined me in juggling sanity until her, my sister and I were ready to go, and we left for the WKLB country music concert in mansfield. It was, of course, a blast. I adore country music fans, as I am one. Lesbians everywhere, it was great. The high point was probably Kieth Urban's show and the couple line dancing in the parking lot while they waited for the rush to leave to get a little less mad. Smart people. Deana Carter performed before Kieth, but I couldn't enjoy it properly, as I was thinking how great it would have been if Lisa was there too. Seriously. :( Got home late and tired and had to rise early for work this morning, but I don't care, it was so much fun!!!
