Normally I am a huge anti-Iowa person, however, Tom Harkin, the democratic senator from Iowa, has given me hope. Throughout the summer he has hosted a series of forums for the democratic candidates for the presidency in 2004. I just finished watching the Dick Gephardt forum on C-Span. Previously I have watched the Gov. Dean forum and the Senator Kerry forum. I think Senator Harkin has done a great job of bringing the people of Iowa into the light. He has each forum in a different city in Iowa, giving all the locals the opportunity to show up, ask questions, and become informed. So I say Bravo Senator Harkin!
