Out of High School

Since I last blogged, I have done many things. The one thing I'm most proud of is that I GRADUATED! WAHOO! Walking across the stage was the most euphoric time I remember. But it's not all peaches & cream. Though I've been liberated from high school, I've also been torn out of my habituum, the rut I made deeper and deeper for four years. Those four years dragged on in the beginning, but boy oh boy did they fly near the end. It'll tax me to adjust to a schedule that varies (college) rather than one that is the same every weekday (high school). I'll miss the friends I've made, the acquaintances I enjoyed talking to, and all the teachers that have left their indellible mark on me.

I guess what my sadness boils down to is that I am being pushed out of my comfort zone. I'm slowly reacting, adjusting, experiencing this new environment. C'est la vie. But I'll survive, I will survive!

In other news, 8 more days until I leave for Europe. I hope it proves to be fun. I hear Italy, Austria, and Switzerland are delectable. Mmm.

I just bought a computer for college. Thank you, Dell.

I also just saw "Bruce Almighty." It was predictable in most parts. I didn't like it too much since it flies in the face of my atheist beliefs, but that's pretty much expected when you're a minority.

What's up with this weather? It's 4 June and the day's high temp is 60F. Shouldn't I be complaining about the heat more instead of the cold?

Until next time, I'm the adbak.
