Wow it's been a while. I have an offical excuse also. I've been having trouble with the phone. Apparently a critical wire outside of my house was on the verge of wearing out and had been giving the whole house connection killing static for the last month or so and what's worse, the first guy to come and fix it hooked up the phone wrong and left us without service for 4 days. luckily everything is working now and I can send this delightful post.

Bye, bye strom, I don't miss you at all. To those who think this is inappropriate all I can say is he was old, very old, and very bigoted and it was time.

And were finally legal. Ain't it great!

I dunno if his death liberated America, or if he died because of the court ruling... haha, does anyone know which happened first? I bet he just keeled over after he found out that being gay just isn't a crime anymore.

... I saw a lovely dyke march-affiliated (I think?) tee. Newspaper headline style: "Supreme Court Kills Strom Thurmond."

I admit, I cheered rather loudly.

Strong-smelling Turdmound

Celebrating Strom Thurmond's untimely (as in way too late) demise is by no means inappropriate... I think that George Wallace, as terrible as he was, really did wake up and change his ways following the assassination attempt on him. Folks like Thurmond, Jerry Falwell, and others of their ilk, on the other hand, only gave up their racist segragationist stances to avoid criticism. Even though he claimed to have changed his views, I'll bet that Strom Thurmond remained clandestinely pro-segregation until his death, and the same could probably said about Falwell.
