To Dance or not to Dance
Most of the time I dance for the hell of it, its fun. On couple of occations I have danced and got drunk to forget my problems. So it can be both, depending on each person. The last time I danced and got drunk was on my birthday on last week of August.

Hypothetically there's this girl who dances to get laid. Remembering or forgetting is dependent on whether it was good or not.

to a specific song, related to a person/time in my life = to remember or forget, it's all relative
at a bar with friends = sheerly hedonistic and dependant upon the bar in question

I only dance once per year. That's it. It happens during Portland Pride during our big gay disco dance. It's FABULOUS! :)
So to answer your question, I dance because I've forgotten how bad I am at it. *lol*

Results, to this point, have been mixed. It works best with fire and incense and chanting, rather than flashing lights and dance music. Circles are better than crowds. :-)
